The staff here are fantastic and the care my pup received was top notch time and time again. My dog is vet fearful but every single staff member was patient and kind while working with him for our appointments. I can’t thank them all enough for that. Highly highly recommend!
Fairlea Animal Hospital ranks as the very best. The veterinarians are excellent and kind. All the techs and support staff are professional and caring -- about the animals and their people! And I've noticed little if any turnover of staff in the 3 years I've had my dog vaccinated, examined, treated and boarded while I've been away. I've owned a number of dogs and cats through the years. As our family moved, I have had occasion to seek the services of veterinarians in a number of states. Fairlea Animal Hospital ranks at the top of the list of all of the good veterinarians who have cared for my dogs and cats.
The staff and the doctors here are absolutely the best! You could not ask for a better team to care for you fur babies. They go way beyond your expectations and love on your fur babies as if they were theirs. I love that they are a one stop clinic, as they offer grooming along with boarding so your 4 legged babies are comfortable with the people and place. No doubt hands down the best place to take your fur babies to. Everyone is so friendly and the office is exceptionally clean. Check them out on Facebook!
They handled our 13 year old Sheepdog we had to put down and they were awesome. So much compassion for the animal and family. We are visiting from Fl and they took us right away. Since then I’ve had my cat in twice same great service. I then bough a new Sheepdog puppy and they are handling all shots for me. I can’t tell you how much I will miss them when we return to Florida. They are first class.
Dr. John and his staff are absolutely wonderful! I have been using Fairlea Animal Hospital for 20 years. Dr. John is very attentive, supportive, and thorough. He understands pets are part of the family and is very compassionate. I would never and have never taken my pets elsewhere. He has my utmost respect and trust!
Beautiful facility and wonderful staff - receptionists, technicians, and doctors! Dr. Hinson and Dr. Tomlinson took great care of all 3 of my kitties. Without them, I'd only have one! I got one as a kitten from the clinic and another was found in my backyard and was very sick. They worked hard to figure out what was wrong, explained everything they were thinking and doing, and helped her regain her strength and weight. I don't know where she would be without them. Every time I look at her, I'm reminded of how they came through for us and am very grateful.
Nothing less than the best here! All staff are very courteous, friendly, knowledgeable, and go above and beyond to give your fur babies excellent care! My 5 fur babies give Fairlea Animal Hospital all Paws Up!!!
Hands down the best Veterinarian I know. I live less than 30 minutes from NC State vet school and have numerous vets, 24 hour emergency services etc near me and still choose to make the 5 hour trek to see Dr. Tomlinson for my pets. He and his staff have performed major surgeries on one of my dogs. They have been super responsive answering every question and concern. Their care is impeccable and they truly value and love their patients. I would recommend them to everyone.

We started going to Fairlea Animal Hospital as soon as we adopted our dog and for the rest for the time my family lived in the area. Over that time, we saw all three vets. All three are kind and skilled and excellent vets who treated us well and gave fantastic advice. We were always able to see a vet within a day or two of calling, which was always a relief. Our dog seemed to enjoy his boarding stays there and they always did a good job with his grooming. We were so sorry to move away and lose this fantastic clinic.

I have lived in 7 different states and had multiple vets. Fairlea Animal hospital is AWESOME! The staff truly care and the doctors are 100% accessible. We live on a small farmstead and we have a plethora of animals. Doc Tomlinson and his entire staff are absolutely invaluable to us. They are very responsive and treat us and our animals like friends. Doc is also very instrumental in our regional 4H program.
Great experience! Vet techs, front office staff and vet were all super nice and welcoming. I was nervous because I was behind on my cats vaccines, but no one was rude. Very caring about my animals. Can’t say enough good things.
The best Vet that I have found.. they love your fur baby as much as you do and they make u feel so comfortable and make sure you understand everything they explain things and really want u to have a good healthy fur baby and a good healthy relationship with your fur baby

Have used this clinic for 12 years. Staff is always helpful and friendly. My cat was having a grumpy day but Dr Cherry picked her up and she settled right in. Took time to answer all my questions and concerns about my aging cat. Gave my cat a clean bill of health and we both left happy. Wonderful caring facility. Dr. Tomlinson is also fantastic with animals.
